Friendship Housing Co-operative is a family-friendly, non-profit housing community located within walking distance of schools, shopping, the library, public transit, and recreational facilities. The co-op consists of 15 townhomes, including one four-bedroom, five three-bedroom, and nine two-bedroom units.
Each two-level townhouse features a private entrance, fenced backyard, storage space, fridge and stove, laundry hook-ups, 1.5 bathrooms, a heat pump, and a designated parking space directly in front of the home. The community is pet-friendly and welcomes children in a safe and secure neighbourhood setting.
As a volunteer member-managed co-operative incorporated under the BC Cooperative Association Act, Friendship Housing Co-operative provides affordable housing with monthly housing charges that include water, sewer, garbage, recycling, compost, and yard waste services. Members are responsible for their own BC Hydro, internet, television, and telephone services.
To maintain a healthy and respectful living environment, smoking, vaping, and drug use are strictly prohibited within units and anywhere on the property. Please note that all homes are multi-level and require the use of stairs; the units are not wheelchair accessible.
